I was glad and grateful for the help..I found out online from IRS.gov that IRS needs to now evaluate our tax information to see if we qualify after we received July and August assistance. I am frustrated and pissed that the IRS did this! Now our family will not be able to depend on this monthly tax child credit!

AL…I would save up money to buy my children what they need. It would be awesome if it was permanent.

During the pandemic I received rental assistance to help me catch up on rent (thank God I got this). I'm finally current and this child tax credit has mostly been able to go into savings and the money I have used has been used to buy my 3 kids Christmas gifts. I started buying and looking for deals in August. If this becomes permanent it will literally be such a huge help I don't even know how to put it into words. It literally will make a huge difference in my kids and my life!

Hi @Barbara - It would be good for even those without kids to receive advanced tax credits like this. If that happened, what do you think a good amount would be? Here's a list of state-funded tax credits, most of them Earned Income Tax Credits, that have been expanded recently. Is your state on the list?

Missouri and if the child tax credit became permanent that would help the lower class family amazingly or all the single parents it would help amazingly

I'm aggravated with the CTC payments because I received payments until October and now nothing and on the portal it says pending…pending what is what I want to know. I work, I pay taxes, I have children so why is it pending. I appreciated the extra money every month it was helping me get caught up, but bam now nothing. Just aggravated.
I am grateful of the child tax credit. I just hate when they had a glitch in September, we aren't receiving the full amount how we are supposed too. It's not really fair when you supposed to give us the full 500.00 a month.

I received the payments for July, August and September but I didn't receive anything for October and November. I went to the Child Tax Credit Portal and I had to go through ID. Me to verify my identity and guess what my license is expired and I don't have a passport so I'm stuck. I NEED HELP BECAUSE I HAVE 5 KIDS THAT NEED THEIR MONEY!! IM BEYOND FRUSTRATED!!

I think the CTC helped a lot and would have been great to continue to receive. i know there where a lot of issues with families not receiving their funds, which was sad.
I think it would be great for my grandchildren and they would benefit greatly from that.
