Single mother in desperate need of emergency funds!!! My son has chronic eosinophilic asthma it is so bad to the point that on our way to the hospital he flatlined twice last month in the back of the ambulance. This is something I have never experienced before in my life. I have never in my life been so scared like I was that day. Not only was I having to see my child struggle and fight for his life I also felt the hurt pain scaredness that feeling. The feeling of not knowing anything. As of yesterday he has started to have another flare up with his asthma. I have reached out to so many people, organizations, churches. And I have not been able to find help at all with getting his medicine. He has insurance however his insurance will not cover his prescriptions right now. I have reached out to see about getting samples and I got nowhere. I reached out to the manufacturing company and I got nowhere again. So now I am reaching out here can anyone please help me? You have no idea the impact and the blessings that you will be bringing upon my family. The total cost of his medications is $356.21 if there is anyone out there who may be willing to help me in any kind of way please do thank you and have a blessed day everyone.
I have not seen any one getting help
Do ppl really get help
Bc I’m in desperate need
I'm praying that everyone can get the help and relief they need. It's been such a long and hard year for everybody.
Me either…I haven't seen absolutely no one get help when reaching out so far.
How do i get help with emergency funds. Im still newly married and have six kids. I am not able to work due to medical conditions and with covid19. Everything has been so hard. Or could someone at least guide me to any place or resources that may be able to help
I really need some help
I just started this app called Albert. I'm learning different techniques to a budget and even started a savings account and deposited my first $50 emergency fund. I've added my goal to save $500 for a down payment on a new used car in 6 months or less. I'm on Social Security and to be able to do my first deposit is a great accomplishment.
digital credit union is a good place for your emergency fund - they pay 6% on the first $1000 that you have in the account
Emergencies are unforeseeable. Therefore it's good to save for an emergency in a separate savings account even if its a few dollars every pay check. Then you'll have the money when an emergency arises.
Its random
That's what I'm doing. I use paypal for my linked account and try not to touch it. Boredom has gotten the best of me and I'm trying not to spend on stupid things.
I'm just broke and trying to save.
I had a few.. but most recently my roof got a hole in it and started leaking !!!
hang in there everyone
I want more info on these emergency funds

Hi @Tashawena, we finished sending out the last of the Emergency Response Funds last year. But we're still committed to helping our members out however we can. Check out the COVID-19 section of our website for helpful resources.

Unemployment insurance an option?
When you say emergency funds I think say $500-$1,000 set aside for unexpected needs such as to pay a deductible after a car crash or having your car towed or bail bond kind of things.
But this topic seems to be more about emergency aid, which I didn't know SaverLife even attempted to do if they had the money to help.
For some emergencies like temporary housing assistance or utility bills you might try Catholic Charities, the Salvation Army, the Red Cross or even a local food pantry to point you to the best sources if they can't help directly. Keep in mind with donations down due to Covid they may not be funded to help like they have in the past.
You might also check with your local township office or its equivalent which can provide help sometimes especially in municipal areas. Your county health dept may be able to help with medical and emergency dental needs. And many communities have some type of legal aid from government or private sources.
If your local government is unable to help with even basic emergency needs keep that in mind the next time the politicians ask for your vote.
Saverlife has really gave me the motivation and helpful ways to create, keep and build one
INO: Emergency funds for Dental care in the state of Georgia.
Stimulus payments are being sent out this week to several states, see if you live in one of the lucky few. Indiana, however, is not listed. Hope you all get the help you deserve.
Thanks for the Info
