Hello Lettie! It does get frustrating at times.
Hello Lettie! It does get frustrating at times.
Those who work at saver life should read these everyday then they could report the problems that exist with points etc.
I agree Joel!!
Hello, I received a response to my inquiry. And for my inconvenience, they are giving me 250 points. Well, I guess you know. I didn't get the points. I'm just posting today to see if I'd get points from this.
Wow, I did get the points for my last post a few seconds ago.
Funny
Hi everyone, it seems like I was just here yesterday, LOL.
Yay Lettie, I'm glad they came through with your points!!
Hi Noel, welcome to the forum. Hopefully we will see you tomorrow.
Hello! I hope everyone had a great day.
Striving for better!
Hi Shontelle, it was a great day indeed!! I hope your day was the same.
Welcome Jasmine, we are in that boat together.
Maybe the LifeSavers could reward for PayPal contributions in the same way. We could make the same $5 deposit into our PayPal accounts OR our bank accounts (only get rewarded for one though) each week and still get the scratch offs or an extra scratch or something else finance related…?
Hello everybody!! Another day, another great article, and another, another, another post in the Why forum, smh…LOL!
Hello! Trying to save more money this month. 🤞
Other than SaverLife, what helps you all save? Have you been able to increase savings? Was there a circumstance when you weren't able to save and were you able to recover the funds before the following check in?
I was able to save more when I opened a second bank account at a new institution. I make deposits on paydays based off the bi-monthly budget. I also printed out different savings sheets from She's On The Money that allow me to save different amounts for deposit each week according to my goals.
It definitely helped to re-evaluate my goals and make changes to my spending habits.
Hi everybody. I hope last week was a good one and this week will be better than the last.
Oh my… I've been talking to myself for a few days now.
$@!#% Candice , I started an Acorns account just to watch it earn a little more than savings. I also joined survey junkie and have earned 10 dollars in two days even though it seems like I've answered 1000 surveys to get it but it's kinda fun.
Half the time I don't get points anyway
I got a promotion recently and now have to re-evaluate my savings and plans because I'm moving from being bi-weekly to monthly. Any good ideas/advice for how to handle the change?
Joel, is Acorns working well for you? How long have you been using it? Do you put the Acorn savings into the saverlife account?
Katharina, it took a while for someone else in the thread to get their points as well, but the good news is… the points finally came through. I know it's hard to be patient at times but… may as well since it's not in our control and we (kinda) wanna be here.
Jasmine, I get paid bi-monthly but I do write out a monthly budget. It's weird …Whatever you decide to do, make sure you pay yourself first. I am excited to hear what tips you can share for managing a monthly check.
Thanks for answering back, Candice!
They should give us higher points for doing it rather then just 15 points
Anytime Jasmine!
Lina, I agree!! I think we need extra points, extra scratchers, extra ways to account for check ins, and additional methods of savings accounts that can be connected to SaverLife.
Jasmine, I'm REALLY curious about the once a month paycheck and I'm trying to figure out a way to use my paychecks as one check… meaning pay as many bills with one check and save/donate from the 2nd.
I wonder how long it would take me to get comfortable with it and if it will make my budgeting skills better. Should I try it with you for a few months?
Candice, I think you should if you can. However, that does sound hard. I was thinking of trying to stick to the 50-30-20 budgeting method for at least 2 months and see if that works. Thankfully, I was able to set up the percentages using my direct deposit so I don't have to split it up after the fact.
