I have children and with my salary, I qualify for health insurance through the government but I am not provided with dental or vision. I prefer to have both dental and vision along with regular health insurance right now. Right now I am pretty healthy but I haven’t been able to get a new eye prescription or been able to see a dentist in years which is becoming a concern for me. I recently applied for dental insurance with BCBS paying about 28 dollars a month. Vision was not offered with BCBS because I believe they include it in their health insurance package.
My husband has health insurance through his job. He has himself, me & two of our children covered. I am not 100% sure on the cost anymore since open enrollment was this month and he added vision on to it. I do know it's less than 300$ and more than 225$ bi weekly. Our baby who jsut turned two is on state insurance peachstate and we don't have to pay for her. She has it until she is 5. It's so costly. Cigna is good in some ways but not other ways like 250$ co pay for e.r.. It covers well on family dr app, 35$ and 3 meds only cost me 30$ each month for myself.
I'm paying $130/ month since I'm self-employed.
My insurance is high! Family of 4 I pay 245.00 every 2 weeks almost 500 a month !!
I have our state insurance because my work does not provide insurance for part time workers
Life insurance or Health insurance?
Currently paying $72.00 biweekly but my employer pays a percentage of our premium as an incentive for working for company
I don’t pay because I’m low income
around $225/month - me and spouse - both retired
I have a HDHP through my employer.
I'm a single mom with two kids (although my youngest just graduated), but I didn't make enough money to pay for insurance through my employer because it was sooooo expensive, and my income is too high to qualify for Medicaid or CHIPS. My sons' father is supposed to provide insurance and child support, but that hasn't happened at all. So, through my employer, it was about $700/mo. for me and my boys. My employer used to use TRS Care/Aetna. When the pandemic started we didn't have insurance, so I was super paranoid about us getting sick. Luckily, we didn't and I was able to pick up a part-time job this past summer to off-set the cost of insurance. Also, my employer (a school district) changed providers to Blue Cross Blue Shield which lowered costs to $450/mo. for families. Thank God! We have basic coverage, but at least it's something. I wish the government/representatives would do more to regulate health insurance and medical costs. That's always something I look into when deciding who to vote for in an election.
$257.90/mo for family of 5 health insurance.
$29.62/mo for family dental.
Thanks employer!
I pay $200 for a family of 4
I work for a school district and the premiums for employees are outrageously high. For myself and 2 children it ranges from $500-2000/month out of pocket with deductibles from 1200-5000. I am going to look this summer at marketplace and elsewhere and hopefully get better insurance not from work.
It seems my copays have stayed the same but the premiums for covered family member options have gone up almost 15% in 2 years.
I have healthcare coverage through my employer. I’m with BCBSTX and my copayments are $40 a visit w/ $70 specialty visits. They take out $59.70 semi monthly.
I pay too much! I wish my job would offer better insurance. My premium is high with a high deductible.
I work for a school district - single mom 2 kids - premiums and deductibles are high. Does it really save money and get better insurance to use a broker?
Nothing. I'm low income in NC. We are on Medicaid.
I'm getting health insurance through the Marketplace, which is a life saver. The subsidies are phenomenal. I pay less than $100 per month, my deductible is low and I have access to the same doctors as from my previous plan. I work for myself so this happens to be the best option for me.
