If you seem to be paying a high co pay on prescription medications make sure to see if they are any cheaper on good rx… I always seem to find better prices my pharmacy will give me on there for most of the higher cost medicine we get. Just a tip.

Ask for your price with and without insurance. Sometimes you can get prescriptions cheaper without insurance using GoodRx. It boggles my mind, but it's true!

Amazon Pharmacy has really good prices, too. You can compare with or without insurance because, as Terry said, sometimes it's cheaper not to use insurance. Your doctor can send prescriptions to them the same as any other pharmacy. I also found my non-prescription allergy meds there for $15 less than Walmart.

Be aware. While this might save money in the short term it can end up costing you in the long run. $@!#% run through good rx often cannot be counted by insurance towards their limits on your costs, This is particularly releveant if your $@!#% help you meet your insurance deductible (this varies from plan to plan) . But almost always $@!#% count towards your out of pocket max. So if you spend money on $@!#% through goodrx you are likely getting zero credit towards your insurance deductible and/or out of pocket max.
