There are a lot of pros to having a side gig. First, of course, you have more money. Second, you don't have to worry as much about making ends meet and if you lose your main job, which I have, you at least have some money coming in.
The cons of having a side gig are not having any extra time to relax.
I do everything I possibly can to earn extra money but it's so hard anymore.

With side gigs like Instacart, Uber, Door Dash, etc., you should keep track of your expenses. (mileage, car repairs, etc.) those expenses can help you at tax time.

Search job boards for remote positions. There are a ton available now due to the pandemic.
Wish I could find side gigs that work with my schedule and daycare! Scheduling and time are the hardest parts for me.
The pro to working side gig/extra job is knowing that you always have money ….. the con of this is your trading your self and family time in place of this need or want. I’ve worked three jobs for the past few years just quit two of those jobs because family bond is most important family over money any day I had to learn this
