First off- you have to have yourself taken care of. So lets presume you are in shape… if not- then get to work. You dont need to join a gym- simple housework and chores can get you exercise.

Next- a few basic pieces of clothing that dont go out of style and can be worn year round.

Next-your household- examine your expenses for the style of living…. you should be getting bang for the buck. If you can pick your power company pick one that has lower rate.

If you like to shop- focus on items that get your world organized.

Consider a bike… use it for errands… each time you do- you are denying the oil companies money. You can carry 4 bags of groceries on the handle bars. When gas hit $4 a gallon I moved all of my errands close to home. When gas went down I did not branch out.

Wall street and financial instruments are subject to counter party risk… fat finger crashes.

Getting you and your household in order, results in real world tangible benefits. It pays out fast.

Before I invest in a company, I read about them. Then I see how they did within the last 52 weeks. Next, I see if they offer dividends. No dividends is not a deal breaker for me, but I like the extra money coming in. Finally, if I like what I see, I go for it.

This website ha a cool collections of investment and trading opportunities with descriptions.
I'm not affiliated with them, found it on Instagram and it had some of the sites I've already knew about and a lot new ones.
Hope some of you will find it helpful: https://moneymade.io/

Rather than buying a stock for a single company, i buy VTSAX which is the entire US stock market.

I don't– so I just invest in the market overall by buying shares of an index fund much like @Hoi W.

Great investment is such an open ended question. I suppose the best answer to that is "education".

Need to learn to invest. Generally "higher education" means higher income. Learn about taxes to save more money. Learn proper budgeting.

Probably the easiest way to learn how to be better with money if you can find a great financial mentor/coach.

If you see the product everywhere you should buy the company that produces it.
