Yes. Look into REITs. It stands for Real Estate Investment Trust and many of them pay high dividends. I just got into them this year. I diversified the types of real estate to include commercial, residential, urban and suburban. I've been flat on most of the returns so far but they've each been paying about an 8% dividend .

Investing in REITs is bit tricky, because we have to do homework to understand the REITs we want to invest in (e.g., business types, loans and leverage stuff). Also, we should invest in publicly traded REITs (but not private REITs).
