How to keep a budget
How to keep a budget
spreadsheet
A spreadsheet is great, but I used paper and pencil until I felt comfortable enough to begin using a spreadsheet.
That's the smart way to go using paper first then using the spreadsheet.
I use a technique called reverse budgeting where I setup a direct deposit from my paycheck to different savings accounts for specific purposes https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/peterlazaroff/2016/02/29/creating-a-budget-that-works/amp/
Thanks Debby T. I’ve been hearing to write everything down in paper FIRST
I try my best every week to stick to a budget based on my check.

Saving money is great if you can afford to do it then its the best thing you can imagine especially when an emergency comes up god forbid it does but its best to be prepared….

Setting up and sticking with a budget is hard, whether electronically or on paper. I have been able to master the process by tracking my expenses and using cash envelopes. I also challenge myself to save extra money from what I have budgeted every two weeks and at the end of the month I have been able to save an addition $100-$200 aside from my account direct deposits. The pandemic really was an eye-opener for me as to what I could easily do without or avoid purchasing during the course of a month.
Save every day!!
I noticed the more I said NO to my children wants not needs I'm able to stay focused on budget!
I use Mint but it does have limitations. It does a nice job tracking your spendning.
In this time is difficult!
Still learn to saving.
