How can I hide money around my house wo others knowing it's there?
Get a safe or lockbox with a lock and put it somewhere that only you have access to.
If you have a porch or deck that you can put something under without it being seen easily, you could stash a box there. Attics, basements that aren't regularly inhabited, behind appliances like washers and dryers, or under something that is never moved are all good places.
My mom used to hide money and jewelry in a big jar filled with dried beans. She'd cut a paper towel tube to the fit the jar, then stand it up in the middle and fill all around it with beans. It was invisible from the outside, and who's gonna open a jar of dried lima beans?!?

That's a clever hiding place!
Mom also hid things in the zippered couch cushions, in a small bag hanging from a nail behind her headboard, and under the corner of a rug, which was beneath a secretary (cabinet). Oh, and on top of the basement rafters. I shudder to think of all the valuables and cash we didn't find when she died after having dementia for many years. If you hide stuff, keep a list of where it is!
