I cant seem to save.

Everytime I try to save money I end up using the money i put are for saving i need serious help managing my money.

That’s something you have to personally work on. Mind over matter. You could try using one of those Christmas accounts that you cannot take the money out of until Christmas. Not sure if they still offer those. What expense are you using the money on? Not sure if this is your problem, but consumerism is an addiction. We live in a world that teaches us we need things to be happy. Things being little picky stuff that we convince ourselves we need. We will rationalize anything in our minds if it means getting that small chemical rush in our bodies. I have, multiples times, went to amazon to buy $@!#%. I’m so close to buying. It’s in my cart, and I’ll ask myself….what are you doing? We have this sick relationship with “things”. It’s why the American people are crippled with debt. We use that word crippled so much I. Regards to debt that it doesn’t quite fall on the ears the way it was intended. We are shriveled up in a corner with our mouths hanging open with DEBT and the inability to save. And yet we cannot stop. The middle class is shrinking and becoming poor, and it’s like taking a kardashian and putting them in a 3 bedroom colonial in the burbs….and they are used of spending 100k a day, but now must spend less than $30 a day…..spiraling depression and an inability to adapt to the new way things are will cause those people to suffer tremendously. I make my own detergent, use washable rags to wipe myself that I keep in a bucket in my bathroom until it’s time to wash them(typically 2 days), I eat beans and rice that taste amazing by the way because I use trinity and bacon fat for the foundation…I buy my clothes at goodwill for $2 a piece…..I wear banana republic, Aeropostale, and have a coach purse …all items are $2 a piece at my good will outlet. I live on less than 15k a year, and I have 8k in savings. It is all about what YOU are willing to do. No one can force you to save, and no comment here is going to put in the work that YOU have to put in to save your own money. No one can sprinkle magic in the comments.

Do you have a budget? How often do you update it?
I found that having a budget (right now I have about 6 months planned in advance), has helped me save and not spend.
By the way, I have a part of my budget just for "free spending" so I don't feel guilty spending it!

You need a budget if you do not already have one with a category for savings. My budget is divided into 4 major categories of fixed expenses, variable expenses, spending, and savings. Then those categories have subcategories, like my savings has emergency savings, sinking funds, retirement, and investments.

If you don't have enough money left after paying all your bills, please put away a dollar or deposit that dollar. That's going to motivate you to continue saving every week.
