Hi ! I'm new to this community and hoping to get some advice on how to earn and save. A few years ago we had new management company take over our duplexes that we had been in for almost 15 years and displaced 6 families. I never made that much money working in the hospitality industry but Ive done it for 25 years now and so we tried finding a new home with limited resources with no luck. We have been staying in a hotel since then just trying to make ends meet never having anything extra to save especially the way the housing prices have increased along with the cost of everyday products. I feel so defeated as I am in that gray area where I don't make enough to actually afford a security deposit plus 1st months rent but according to the state I make too much for financial assistance so I deal with this alone while there are some people in my family that don't know what it is like to live paycheck to paycheck and love to sit and judge all while telling me that I always have to miss out on family get togethers because I'm either working or can't afford to travel the 2 hours to them 
I asked for help 1 time from my very well off family and I was ridiculed for it. Just wanting to see what ideas everyone has to get out of this deep,dark hole. Thanks for listening to me vent
