I am currently 6 pregnant and was laid off due to Covid19. I’ve applied for unemployment and have yet to hear from unemployment going on 5 weeks now. We are struggling with paying our bills due to 1 income as my husband is still working. We also have 5 children who are at home due to Covid19 whereas I stay home with them currently during this pandemic. We can’t thank enough for the first stimulus package as it help us with our rent $1300 a month and all the rest of the bills from electricity to water to car bills. We use up every cent of that stimulus payment to catch up with 2 months of behind bills. However, that stimulus did help us with our bills, we are still struggling to live each week on a 1 income. I’ve apply for foodstamps ebt to start with at least helpIng us with food for my family but, only qualify $66 per month as they base it off on my 2 most recent check. $66 a month for a family size of 7 doesn’t help at all with putting food on the table for my children. It’s a very difficult time right now for my family and I.

@Gao H. The struggle IS real and the trials are many right now. You are not alone, so many have fallen through the cracks like yourself. But alas, it is not all bad news. Those who are forgotten and left behind are starting to collect their voices and rise up with advocacy. We are being heard, even if it dosent feel like it. Change starts at home, and with us. So we have to endevour to come out of this stronger and learn from our mistakes. ONLY we can be responsible for our security and comfort. This was just proven to us. And though it is of little consolation alot of know better for next time. Which is why we're here, learning from our past mistakes. We have a chance here to empower ourselves even if our governing bodies refuse to. There is power in knowledge. Most often what we thought was a wolf at the door was simply a dog without a home. Simply put, yes we are down.. I'd go as far as to say rock bottom. but do you know what that means? There is only one way to go from here. And that's Up! Keep up the good fight, remember you are not in this alone. Strive to be the change you want to see in the world. And let the ripples do the rest ♡ Safe travels my friend… And Namaste

Sorry hear that lady’s I’m also struggling and having hard time recently got fired from my job and currently wait on my background come back from another so i can start work keep y’all heads up blessings are coming to us soon keep the faith

I am a stay at home mom to two girls my husband landed this awesome construction job right before the pandemic due to covid they had to lay a lot of people off but because he was still in his 90 days they let him go all together so he couldn’t claim unemployment it’s been hard for him to find another job with everything closed down kid are out of school and doing work at home and since covid we have gotten so far behind on bills all I can say is pray for a miracle
