Unfortunately, life in today's society is pretty messed up. Let's face it, it's hard to look to the future when the present sucks so badly.
But there's a reason that we look in front of us when we walk.
We don't look behind us (the past), because we will stumble. We don't look at our feet (the present) for we will tumble headlong to the ground if we don't see an upcoming obstacle. We should always try to walk with our head up and looking towards the future, so we can succeed.
These are just my own thoughts.
