since I’ve been a member I do my best to save and when I’m able to, I get a scratch and save. sometimes I get a prize sometimes I don’t. I’m A single mom with 2 children and I receive SSDI. I sit in the threshold of income disqualifies us from SNAP, help paying for my medicine, and other life necessities. There are some months where I feel like I’m rubbing 2 pennies together hoping they turn into a dime.
I honestly was skeptical when I received the email yesterday I was selected for emergency funds just submit application. I thought to myself I enjoy reading the emails and playing random scratch and saves what do I have to lose? It’s the same idea of the weekly scratch and saves. I submit application and get an email saying I’ll get a link to receive funds in 24 hours. For years since I’ve became ill I have been appreciating every day I’m alive to be with my kids and taking life One day at a time. So I carried on with my evening.
Today, I was in the doctors waiting room and I received the do.not.reply claim your funds email! The funds came into PayPal as I was finishing up my appointment. I yelped with joy! This site is truly a blessing. I am so thankful for the beautiful and compassionate hearts on this site, providing encouragement, resources and reminding all of us, “it’s going to be okay.”
