Although there is a coin shortage I like to save my coins and at the end of the week go to the bank and deposit it into my savings account. Every time I go I make sure I have enough to deposit but either way I like to deposit something

Some places are offering incentives for coins. For example, Chik-Fil-A is offering $10 in free food plus your $10 in exchange for $10 worth of change.

Change round up program by bank is another good option
I understand there is a shortage for change but many stores are forcing us to use credit or debit which for some of us may be inconvenient
Most places I shop they require exact change or you have to use your card.
Soon we will no longer have paper bills
I keep all my change and just keep it and then use it for emergencies and keep all the bottles never realize how much bottles add up to when you keep them emergencies all those bottles come back to you
doubtful of the shortage
If it works for you, at least you're saving. But I find it easier to just carve out money in my budget and move it over via bank transfers. I associate quantities of coins with the hassle of counting and rolling them in paper sleeves as a child.
doubtful of the shortage
Me too. It's not the coins wear out (like paper bills do).
The coinage isn't wearing out. It's simply not circulating as freely as before, and some areas are noticing a resulting shortage.
I like rolling the coins in the paper rolls

Thank you,
I found an article explaining this. I still think its not a dire situation.
coins shortage is an artificial problem to me
maybe it's just to nudge us towards digital payments?
I hadn't heard about the coin shortage
I heard about it at the start of the panemic. Not sure about the status now.
I heard about it but now it faded out.
