Simply use coupons when you can for the items that you "will" use. Do not buy because its a deal. Buy what you need. Couponing works because it will help you beat inflation. Anything that saves you 5% is worth it. BUT ONLY IF YOU NEED IT! shouting because that is key to saving.
Coupons can be time consuming and you end up buying things you won't use, so you have to be careful
coupons will be very useful in this day and time.
@Roger B. I agree, I love ALDI. Not only are their prices reliably low, but up until the Covid shortages, they were better than most stores at keeping things in stock.
I mostly stopped using coupons as I bought more generics. There is a grocer near me where they'll cut out coupons and hang them on the shelf under the product. Sometimes I use those if there's one for an item I wanted anyway.
Last week I bought over $30 worth of Gain products and only spent $11.64 after coupons. Set the $27 I saved to the side to see how much I save by Christmas time after using coupons the rest of the year
I’m another Ibotta user - and Rakuten as well. I don’t buy anything that I wouldn’t ordinarily buy, so I’m not a massive saver, but I have earned over $200 in rebates in a year.
Can someone help me with learning on how to extreme couponing?
I don't use coupons but I use apps on my phone I get cash back from.
I love using coupons. Great way to save.

I didn’t know about the 5%. Interesting!

Around this time of year ibotta kicks in some great bonus incentives. Idk if I'm allowed to post it but if anyone wants my referral link it'll give us both $.

Tips on how to use coupons
depending on what you are after … let's say HBA items and you live near CVS and Walgreens - check out iheartcvs.com and iheartwags.com for early ad previews and potential coupon matchups to find great deals. Be careful to NOT stock your HBA with items you do NOT use just because it's a great deal! You can spend alot more than you planned and get no benefit from it.
I like Fetches because it covers food or any other receipts for what ever you buy. There are a lot of food products I wouldn't buy. I wish they had more healthier choices. I'm not that crazy about coupons. I do check the grocery adds and buy sale items. I always shop discount clothing stores. I always go to the sale rack first for the best deals. It's good hearing others ways to save.
