Sometimes IDK if I need something or just want something. Like new pillows for the couch. Or towels for the bathroom. It's very difficult to determine which is which a need or a want.. any thoughts………….

Its simple…….a need is something important that you need to live or make life easier likes car, clothing or food. A need is something that you would like to have, but don't really need Like expensive brand name clothes or shoes, headphones or a big tv or latest phone. I consider those things as "treats" when I have a little extra money to spend on myself after bills are paid and groceries.
Day by Day.
One step
Step by step
My needs are things I need to survive like roof over my head food etc. My wants I plan for. For example I wanted new bed sheets. I have bed sheets but I wanted new ones. I saved for it an then I was able to buy them.
Bed sheets are fine. Since I tend to keep something like that under $50 I might let it ride on a store credit card a few months to earn a monthly credit point as long as I don't have anything else on the card. After all I could pay it off easy enough.
But when you put ALL your wants on credit that's how things get out of control very fast.
OTOH it doesn't hurt to pay everything off each month. But feeling like you must keep buying something (anything) each month to build credit may lead to a bad habit too.
Drat! STILL no points for posting. Oh well.
Pfft!
