Just wondering if I could get some recommendations for an online tax preparer site. I have been having my taxes done on Taxslayer and have been happy with them but last year they missed a key element in posting my health care from the marketplace and the IRS contacted me to send the required statement to validate, is there an easy tax site that guides you thru so that nothing is missed? Who do others use and how well do you like them?
I use TurboTax and think it is very thorough. I don’t feel like anything has been missed. I like it and will continue to use TurboTax.
I've used Turbo Tax for years with a small business. It's easy to follow and if you need help you can call and have a CPA share your screen.
I also use Turbo Tax, and it's very easy to walk through all the questions and prompts.
I really like using the free tax prep offerings for my area. They are all across the nation, and we're still operating during the pandemic. You can use them if you make less that about $60k a year and don't have certain "special" tax forms (like owning property/rentals). You can search for a site near you here: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/free-tax-return-preparation-for-qualifying-taxpayers
I also enjoy accessing the free tax prep programs online. You can use them for free if you make less that about $60k a year and don't need to file "special" tax forms. You can search for a site near you here: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/free-tax-return-preparation-for-qualifying-taxpayers
