Im trying to save money out of my checks. I only get paid once a month
Saving consistently at small amounts can turn into big savings over the long run.

Good intentions. As long as you leave it in savings.
I pay myself first by saving 10% of everything I make
I started a "piggy bank" for my youngest at the beginning of the year by putting my 1s and change in it when I could afford it I would put 5s or 10s. She now has over 300 in it. My oldest would have had over 500 but she's 16 and has been spending it here and there my middle has 200 in his. So starting small can add up. I designated them to my kids so I wouldn't be tempted to spend from them.
I said I was gone send myself $20 to my goals on my Paypal account. I want to save up for myself a nice trip once this virus is gone!
Does anyone know of any banks that will accept rolled change? Most banks aren’t allowing in person banking because of COVID.
Once $10 becomes routine, up it to $20!
You can do it!
Indeed start small and keep it up.
God bless us

“ Last I checked most of the stores and restaurants will take rolled change before the banks will.”
If you are a member of a credit union they generally have CoinStar machines that will allow you to put in change and make an exchange at the window. Also depending upon where you live some grocery stores have these machines, but there may be a fee for the exchange within the machine.

“ Yes they do have them but if your not a member or have to go to the nearest coin star it charges you 10 cents of every $1.” So they are making money off of you using their machine so your better off going to the gas station, grocery store, or restaurants and ask do they need change for and if so you have some rolled up. They will take it. Our restaurants are low on change everyday. They have stopped making change as of last year. So you might want to save it to be honest! “
I save for a while but then something comes up I need the money I can never get to a point where I don't have to touch my savings for at least 6 months to a year which I'd like instead of every couple months needing part of my savings or most of it
I'm reading some positive feedback regarding savings. SaverLife sent us some trackers in October and I decided to pull the $5 one to challenge myself for saving $5 at a time, trying to get to $100 in a month. The like is https://www.saverlife.org/money-101/saverlife-coloring-pages-tracking-your-familys-savings. This may be great for setting goals for the new year, or just to challenge ourselves to save $100 before year end.
I'm going to start doing this today. My dad has told me my entire life to save 10% and I've recently almost lost him due to an aortic aneurysm. Major realizations about life and I've know the reason why he's told me this is so that I have myself and my children said when something horrible happens or for a good cause like college
Use Coinstar machines to redeem coins since the banks aren't allowing too many people inside.
Saving all my change has been very helpful with saving. I save all my change for my son. So far he has abt $200.
I like the $1-52 a year savings method.you can build charts and switch it up.1 dollar saved the first week ,then 2 in the second week ,which makes 3 ,then 3 which makes 6 ,then 4 for 10 the 4th week and on til the 52nd week and you will have $1378 after one year. But ,any savings is good.
