Shopping instore is cheaper in the long run
I really feel it depends on what I'm shopping for. However, I'm really starting to like online shopping because over the last 6 months there are certain items I'm having a very difficult time finding in store.
I shop in the stop and online.
If I need to get something online, I use one of a couple browser extensions (Honey, Rakuten) to get some cashback. I tend to only use online shopping for large purchases or if I can't find something locally. I used to do the rest of my shopping in store, but during lockdown I had groceries delivered to our house (husband is high risk). I have since found that my local grocery store and other places like Target offer curbside pickup with no fee. So I have been ordering what I need and picking it up without any impulse buying. I really hope they keep it in the long run because its super efficient for me and a real timesaver after work.
It depends on many things. If you have to spend money to commute to the store and back home then online might be cheaper for stores that offer free shipping after a certain amount (assuming you’ll reach that amount).
