For those using rewards credit cards, what’s your favorite way to use your points or cash back? On my Discover Card, I generally like to deposit the rewards to checking. My Chase only allows me to take as statement credit if I’m not using them for travel.

Currently, I have only used it to pay a bill (once I accumulate x amount). However, I've sometimes been tempted to try the gift-card option I am given (as it supposedly adds a set amount to the gift card as a "bonus").

Which CC does this “bonus” option and do you mean in addition to you current reward, there is a bonus amount given for choosing to take it in the form of a GC?

@Melody P I use Discover, and there is a certain percentage (varies by the company the gift-card goes to) added to the amount you redeemed for the gift card. Some of the companies have a high percentage last I looked (10% added) while others are rather low (<=1%).
I think it is probably available along the lines of rewards companies sharing the incentives companies give to those who provide customers.
