Credit utilization at zero and credit score decrease

Has anyone noticed that when they aren't using any credit at all that their score decreases? I know the sweet spot is supposed to be between 1-6%, but I didn't realize that your score could go down for not using any credit at all. Is this just me or has this happened with anyone else?
