I say don’t hate on anyone that can get a break in this terrible economic and racist environment. We are one of the only countries in the world where education creates debt. Kudos to you for doing it on your own but be happy for anyone that can get help they need. School should be free, PERIOD!
I totally agree! The cost of even state colleges and universities is outrageous. The student loan system in this country is quite predatory. I paid off my student loans but it was a hardship. If it can be easier for others, why would I be against that?
The Boomers only needed 306 hours of minimum wage work to pay for four years of public college.

We're told we have to go to college. We're told we don't have to go to college. We're told not to study what we want to study because we need to study what pays. We're told to only go to community college. It doesn't matter what anyone tells us. The fact is, when we try to find a job without a degree, we can't get one that pays a living wage. When we do have a degree, we still might not get one that pays a living wage, and we have tons of student debt to pay off.
