I read the four steps in the article again. Step 2 is extremely helpful. Using a credit card like a debit card makes a lot of sense. When using a debit card you can only spend what you have in the bank. If I use a credit card in the same manner, I am going to spend what I have in the "bank". I use the credit card for purchases that I would normally make with the debit card. The money is already accounted for so making timely payments should not present an issue. Thus far, this has worked for me.

This is how I use my credit cards also I watch my credit card utilization very closely so that it does not go above the 30% usage.

I like the idea of using the credit card for your expenses, then paying off the balance in full.

On #4, if you fully pay off a credit card a few days before the statement period closing, doesn't it look like you didn't use the credit card at all?

I will be giving this a try . To reach that 800 score.
