I recently murdered my credit due to unforseen incidents. I really need it to go back up can anyone help

You may want to look into credit repair. It will cost you a few hundred dollars, but if the incidents are not valid, that is the quickest way to get it back up because it will force the creditors to correct their error.

I snowballed my debt, paid more than the minimum and included the interest in my payments. Now I pay my credit cards off completely every month unless I have a zero interest promotional rate.

We always pay extra on our mortgage ,car and credit card payments ! That keeps your credit up and gets debt paid down sooner. Also always follow your budget and eliminate any unnecessary spending.

Will paying extra actually help with the credit score?

Continue to pay bills and credit cards. If you can set up a payment date for each one to take a scheduled amount of payment to pay those bills than you could stop worrying about them. If you are in the position to do so.

Still no answer: Will paying extra actually help with the credit score?

We pay all of our Bill's in full, on time and put extra on the mortgage and car loan every month.

There is no such thing as paying extra. Paying minimums is only increasing your debt.

Focus on one debt at a time and pay the minimum on the rest. Keep tooling that paid off amount to the next. You just have to consistent, the journey of a thousand miles starts with one step🙂

On Credit cards paying more than the minimum every month will increase your credit score. I keep track of my score using Credit Karma.

Doing the snowball effect is most effective and too see the most in what you are doing, add the interest plus an additional $10 (minimum) to the first debt you choose to pay off. When you finish that what move to the next and so on. Set a goal as to when you want to finish paying it off and always congratulate yourself when you have a win by treating yourself to a perk. I would buy myself a Starbuck specialty drink as my perk.

I also use the snowball method. Reward yourself is also a go add on.🙂
