Emergency:
I'm in the process of buying my first home and in need of financial assistance. I'm told of all these programs available but when I researched them they are all for extremely low income households. I do not qualify because I'm not buying in the targeted area or I make a few dollars over their gross salary requirement. I am grateful for my job and being able to provide for my household but I simply do not make or have enough to save for a down payment on a house.
Does anyone know who is helping out with down payment assistance in Essex County, New Jersey for a home right now? An agency that is really helping the struggling middle-class.
Any help is appreciated.
