Is it true you get $600 plus $600 per eligible child?

Yes as long as the child is under 17 years old. Once the president signs the bill, then the treasury is supposed to start issuing the payments to those eligible for direct deposit next week.

Yes, and the House of Representatives has also passed a measure to increase the stimulus checks for people under a certain income level to $2,000. Although the certainty of that is dependent upon the senate.

I'm getting mine in 3 days. I hope it's not too little too late for alot of people.

There are a lot of people that are probably vulnerable that haven't been eligible for the stimulus. My daughter, who luckily is in a stable home situation, would fall into this category. She was claimed as a dependent by me and my wife but is now an adult going to college. She got nothing last time or this time.

Is anyone else a non filer and only got the 600 stimulus for yourself and last time I got 2 different payments for myself and then for my children and I have 7 children but my first ex claims my oldest 5 so I only claimed my youngest 2 and then I found out that you are able to get it for all your children?? So confused

No stimulus for me neither since I'm an adult dependent or for any one who is 17 plus and also dependent. Like we don't eat and have bills and rent to pay.Sooo unfair.

Someone advised me to split my stimulus money into three: 1/3 to savings, 1/3 to debt repayment, and 1/3 to buying something you need. I bought a coat, my old one was from 2003. Still kept me warm but looked…vintage.

My aunt and cousins have received their stimulus checks already.

I did received my stimulus check and I am waiting for the other one. I need to come out of a lease loan that I have until this year.

It's getting quite annoying that many articles I'm reading are leaving out the fact that adult dependents were completely left out both stimulus packages. They keep going on about children, college aged and younger, and even elderly parents as dependents but not adult (often disabled) children. I think that that needs to be addressed in the articles as well because it really got my hopes up. I didn't even know my parents were claiming me because I don't do taxes. Many of my adult years I did live on my own but my mother was my caregiver for many of those adult years too because I am disabled.

I hope adult dependents receive next stimulus, 3rd one, $1400. They deserve it and this is discrimination against disabled. So wrong!!
