Saving for an emergency when considered poverty level
Saving for an emergency when considered poverty level
$600 to $1000
At least enough to cover rent and food, I would say.
I try to save enough to cover rent for about 2 months as well as car insurance . For home expenses you can find agencies in your local area to assist with paying those bills if you fall on hard times.
Thank you for sharing.
Hi
Saving enough for my family and myself has been difficult. I am as mentioned above. Disabled and working 2 pt time jobs. I saved last paycheck until next paycheck. Working up to that was a process. Eventually, I saw where I can save that pay and and part of next. Granted I was stretched thin. I literally omitted all impulsive buys and small ones. Starting to bring food from home. A coffee thermos when driving client to client. Making ice at home for my cooler etc
I got stingy! I needed to preserve my self.
Srry. Wrong thread
I started a 300$
Thinking to myself at the time, that is what a water heater might cost. Or an auto repair. Thank you for your question.
Often I wonder, if others really understand how terrifying it is to be so poor and alone with children or in my case, grandchildren
hayy
STARTING SMALL IS GREAT WAY TO SET SOMETHING ASIDE.
