Options on how to find a decent place to rent with an eviction and not being able to provide pay stubs for proof of income because I work for a family business and am paid by cash under the table. Hard to find a reputable rental. The eviction is over 3 years old I've had my job for 3 years just finding it hard to find a decent apartment or home to rent yes I can give someone thousands of dollars up front but those places are usually sketchy.

Hi @Rebecca G. Sorry to hear about your situation! I’d recommend checking out an Extended Stay hotel. You won’t need to provide proof of income. The cost of living I found to be similar to an apartment rental. It was clean, they had housekeeping once a week, and the terms were flexible. I would suggest calling beforehand. When I called they gave me a reduced rate with a commitment to stay at least 2 months. If you stay 3 months or more they will reimburse you for all the taxes that you paid (~15%). You can put your stay on a credit card which was great from a points/miles standpoint. Hope this helps! https://www.extendedstayamerica.com/
