@Vanessa M: SaverLife is, though it does take a long while (at least since the point system) to win a scratch card, it seems. From what I've read: SaverLife is a nonprofit that relies heavily on donations [they budget based on the donation amount received from one year for the next year's prizes…if I recall correctly].

Thus, from how I understand it, the more people who attempt scratch-cards, the less likely it is to win a scratcher out of x-many. But, I have won scratchers and been paid before, so I know that at least for some people it helps. It's like the lottery, since many people pay to play the prizes can be high because only so few tickets are winning tickets.

The main focus, though, is to incentivize people to save. The chance to win from scratchers and monthly challenges are the incentive…

However, the "double points" I do not believe is credible.
