Any new first time home owners ?
I feel I'm fairly new, bought my condo two years ago. I'm preparing to go through my first refinance next month to get a better rate.
I bought my house in 2018
I owe $70k and would like to refinance to get a lower rate. Anyone have any experience with that?
I just got to buy my first house at 45 and I'm going to be totally honest it's very scary. I've always lived with other people.
I bought mine 20 yrs ago and will have the mortgage paid off by April 2021, very excited to own it free and clear.

Congrats!
Same here Abigail. My lender told me it would take around 60 days. My rate will drop from 4.375% to 2.5%. Great way to start the new year! Closings costs are at $3k so it'll be a little over 2 years before I actually start to reap the benefits of this refi but that's ok. I'm excited!

Thank you! I'm not sure I'd ever want another 20 yr commitment:)
Homeownership is a big commitment and sacrifice, but well worth it. I'm in my 24th year now. Congrats to those of you taking the plunge into ownership!
I bought in March of last year and I'm refinancing now. I know it'll take a few years to get my closing costs back, but I'm not going anywhere.
Just curious why this is in the Health Insurance forum. Certainly home ownership can be relevant (e.g. Medicaid, estate planning, etc.).

For those who will be in their houses after 55 be sure to have an estate planning review if Medicaid is even a possibility in the future.
I think it is good to try to buy a house.

A buyers agent and a Realtor are the same thing.
Let me explain. A Realtor has authority to be a buyer agent, a seller agent or a dual agent. So they can represent either one side of the transaction either buyer or seller or they can also be representative for both parties.

have bought and sold
I wonder if some of this info is event relevant now…
