Your not the only one… Me too
retail therapy is real
Same here
The ability to shop online has made this even harder for me. I used to be able to just avoid going to the store when I knew I was in a funk (or stressed) but now the store is literally in my pocket at all times!
My wife is an emotional shopper but over the years my frugalness has rubbed off on her, but only when I'm present so in turn I go with her to the stores she likes and let her pick a bunch of stuff, letting her vent about whatever till she get to pay and she decides to put back about 80% of what ahead had in the basket
I have to agree.
When buying online use the plugin, ebates. It gives you cash back (they send a check to your house quarterly). I don't know how it is worth it for them/the stores, but sometimes they even give 15% back on your purchase. They also tell you when another store has something cheaper. If you use my referral code you automatically get $40.
Honestly something I'm in discussion with psychiatry/therapy because apparently my undiagnosed ADHD symptoms have possibly fed into my dopamine-seeking behaviors with shopping/purchases…
I’ve never emotionally shopped I didn’t know it was actual but reading these comments I kinda understand know.
Yeah I did gain a better understanding
