I started with the $1 saving challenge then the $5. Now I do both. So, what I do is whenever I break a $20 and get a $1 or $5 I save it. At the end of the year I use it for Christmas shopping.

Challenge to wait and spend time deciding each time purchasing something that's discretionary, at least one day with a goal toward waiting a week for minor purchases and a month for major purchases.
Builds critical skills that helps with wise spending and savings. Most notably how to short circuit the drive toward immediate gratification and secondly taking the time to evaluate the pro's and con's of each spending decision.
I'd love to be able to link my credit card debt and be rewarded for making payments. A big part of saving is becoming debt free! 🥰
Yes to this! I'd love to earn points for making progress towards paying off debt.
These are all great ideas! I save every $5 I get and save all my change.
Also take a glass bottle your extra dollars for the day place in the bottle.
Good idea!!
What about a challenge limit? As in a limited amount you can spend in week
I like the first idea
A challenge limit sounds like a good idea
Thanks for these ideas
So great!
Just commenting to get my points
Awesome
I find that spending with cash only also helps. You can keep track of your spending easier and then any change left over I save.
