Make a list and try and stick to it. Impulse buys break a budget.

Noooo
Anybody else have a money saving problem like me?
Meal planning has been really helpful for me. I know how much each of our favorite recipes cost to make, and I created a list of them. I divided them into categories like pasta, rice, soup, etc., like a menu. Now I go through the local ads and check Ibotta, and then I pick from my menu, depending on what's on sale or what I have coupons for or an Ibotta rebate. I shop for the whole week, so I only have to go to the store once. I also keep an eye on Swagbucks, MyPoints, and InboxDollars because they have "Magic Receipts," and you can sometimes get rebates there, too. It's time-consuming, although my recipe "menu" has actually cut down on the time I used to spend figuring out what to make. I also have an idea of how long each meal takes to prepare, so I can plan a few easy ones for days I'm going to be rushed and a couple harder ones for days when I have more time.
It's hard. Besides groceries, I try to buy online because I can put it in my "cart" and think about it for a day or two before buying. This has actually assisted me in controlling my budget.
Always use coupons.
Love that idea
I do most of my shopping at thrift stores. I find really interesting things that you wouldn't see anywhere else.
I was going to go food shopping today but I notice I have food at the house I can cook.

I plan out my meals for the week then I check my pantry before making a grocery list. I also use a credit card which gives me 3% cash back for grocery store purchases. I pay my credit cards off each month.
Nope.
