I agree local credit unions are usually the best place to start
When doing a balance transfer my rule of thumb has been to look for a card that will give you a no interest transfer 15-18 months and no transfer fees. Some credit union will not charge fees, some do. Your preference is if you want to pay the extra 3-5% transfer fee which can be expensive depending on your balance. Weigh your options.
There are some cards that will offer 0% interest on balance transfers, at least for a limited time. I'd find one that does that and save interest payments!
Very helpful information. I am sad to see the offers go.
I have to state the obvious here. Avoid the temptation to transfer balances to get out of high interest just to charge those accounts back up.
Also be reasonably sure you can have the 0% card paid off before the term ends. Don't expect to find another card to transfer that balance to. I know credit bureaus track such offers though I have no idea if there's a negative impact to your score. But it might make it less likely to be approved for a similar offer and credit grantors DO ding you for over 6 credit pulls within 2 years.
The Citi simplicity card but I highly recommend a credit union

thumbs up david b
check out doctor of credit website
I dont like chase at all!
Bank of America has a great no interest for 15 months and no balance transfer fee card
I would be careful of using balance transfer cards because of the temptation is to keep charging.
But if possible perhaps a loan with a low interest rate may be better for your credit score.
.
Anybody has to go through this please no it's not easy thing to do specially when you got bills going on
Done.
Interesting…
What do you mean?
Citi or Bank of America
I've used the 0% balance transfer card deals before. They're good, just make sure your u pay them off before they start accumulating interest again. Otherwise, you're back where you started!
Thank you for your good information and i will try to start my own soon

As long as you stop buying more than you can pay for and can make the payments on the new card these are great
chase is the best for transfers
